This online talk-and-draw session explores the visual language of mid-century commercial artists, and borrows techniques from their work to create some surprisingly simple sketches of our own. I will provide six 5×7” watercolor postcards with original hand-printed ink shapes for us to build on together, and four blank cards to illustrate from scratch. Envelopes are included — send them to friends & family for the Holidays, or display them in your own home.

This is a live, online group workshop hosted via Zoom or similar platform and will begin promptly at the listed start time. Participants are welcome to be on camera, share work in progress, or keep cameras off and draw along privately. We’ll leave time for a short Q&A at the end, schedule permitting. Ahead of the workshop, an email will be sent ahead of time with recommended drawing supplies (eg. marker & pen) and any other important details. In the meantime, feel free to reach out with any questions using the email address listed on the About page.

Let’s do some drawing!
